Storms can be a frightening ordeal. (Pixabay/AgencjaAICAC)

In business as in life, we must prepare ourselves to battle the storms that inevitably attack. Yet Jesus demonstrates how to proactively dissolve and eliminate these potentially devastating natural (and supernatural) attacks.

As many of us in Florida faced another catastrophic hurricane, I was led by Holy Spirit to share how Jesus spoke to the storms and exhort us all to do the same!

Prophesy on Who Calms the Storms

"Who stills the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of peoples" (Ps. 65:7).

"You rule the raging of the sea; when the waves arise, You still them" (Ps. 89:9).

"The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yes, than the mighty waves of the sea"  (Ps. 93:4).

Jesus Calms the Storms

"He rose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace, be still!' Then the wind ceased and there was a great calm" (Mark 4:39).

"His disciples went to Him and awoke Him, saying, 'Lord, save us! We are perishing!' He replied, 'Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?' Then He rose and rebuked the winds and the sea. And there was a great calm. The men were amazed, saying, 'What kind of Man is this that even the winds and the sea obey Him!'" (Matt. 8:25-27).

"They came to Him and awoke Him, saying, 'Master, Master, we are perishing!' Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. He said to them, 'Where is your faith?' Being afraid, they marveled, saying to each other, 'Who then is this Man? He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him.' They sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is across from Galilee" (Luke 8:24-26).

Jesus' Promises to Us

"Jesus answered them, 'Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, "Be removed and be thrown into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you will have them'" (Mark 11:22-24).

"Truly, truly I say to you, he who believes in Me will do the works that I do also. And he will do greater works than these, because I am going to My Father. I will do whatever you ask in My name, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it" (John 14:12-14).

When we face another attempt of the enemy to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10), let us stand together in unity:

  • Speak boldly to this storm to cease and desist!
  • Stand on the power of the prophesies and the promises of Jesus.
  • Face this and all storms with total faith.
  • Believe that all things do work for the good.

Now everyone in unity say:

Storms, be still in the name of Jesus!
